23 June 2008:

Genesis Biolabs Inc. of  Tucson, Arizona begins offering tests for the "Bonding" gene on the theory that it would be eventually be linked to marital success. The September 15, 2008 issue of the Journal of the National Academy of Science provided additional evidence for this theory, linking certain alleles of AVPR1a to marital success. 



21 May 2008:

Congress Enacts H.R. 493, The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008. It is now illegal in the United States to use genetic testing in hiring or issuing insurance policies.
